South Mountain Photos is a small nature/scenic photography studio located along the Upper Hudson River in North River. We specialize in using natural lighting and weather patterns to capture the different moods of Nature. Our photos are primarily from the Adirondacks and the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

All work is done in-house using only high quality archival Epson inks and photographic paper and acid-free mats. All our images can be printed as traditional photos, on canvas, or fired onto ceramic tiles.

In addition to taking nature and scenic photographs, I also make custom picture framing. Working with my hands and my heart is what gave me a passion for nursing. This same passion is interpreted into Frames By Terry, my business of handmade rustic frames. The grains and patterns of the individual woods make a truly unique frame. These frames can be stained with walnut, oak, pecan, maple and tung oil. Any finish may be requested to complement your décor. All my work is guaranteed to be of the highest quality available.   Birch Bark Frame The bark and trappings for my birch bark frames come from downed trees and windblown strips found on walks in our woodlot. The twigging is carefully pruned from healthy white & yellow birch trees.
