The joy for
me is in the discovery, of trying new things and new patterns,
so each piece has its own unique qualities. I enjoy doing custom
work for this reason as well. My shop in the Adirondacks is also
a functioning studio space where I paint, work with glycerin
soap, and pursue other artistic endeavors.
It all began
with a quest to find chili peppers to match my kitchen, and,
finding none, this life-long 'chronic' crafter decided to try
making her own.
I loved the idea of functional art and began branching out into
other patterns and designs, with Adirondack themes such as pinecones
and bear, being some of my most prominent. I paint on both glass
and tile, everything from wine glasses, to window panels, and
ceramic tea pots to back splashes.
